Chakra
I have very little info about this duo, except their names are R.Simmonds and S.Jones, and they produce quality progressive house/trance music. Simmonds and Jones also record under the names of Ascension, Force Majeure, Lustral, Essence and The Space Brothers.

Single: I Am[WEA091CD]
Released 1997 on Warner Music UK. This tune is wicked! Dreamy uplifting vocals flow over housey/tracey beats, the best of which is found in the Original Mix and the Amethyst's Remix. Digweed & Muir's Bedrock Mix is also a great mix, very long and builds up beautifully. There's also a few other remixes on the vinyl Dj promo that I have, one of which is titled Amethyst Future Mix, which is a great harder trance version of the track. Shame this wasn't included on the single.

Single: Home[WEA116CD]
Released 1997 on Warner Music UK. The second single from Chakra and its another dance floor stormer. I'm not overly keen on the Solar Stone remix, but the other three mixes are superb. Huge build-ups and breakdowns in this progresive house smash. Its a must!

CD Single/12": Home[WEA266CD2 / WEA266CD2 / WEA266T]
Released 8/00 on Warner Music UK. Written by R. Simmonds & S. Jones. Produced by Stephen Jones. This classic vocal progressive house gem has been remixed and reissued. Tilt open with simple percussion, into which cuts the main vocal, then back with the percussion which gently bounces throughout the rest of the track. The Above & Beyond Mix opts for the trance makeover, with less emphesis on the vocal. Rob Searle's Tweakin Mix is again trancey, with acid riffs giving this mix a harder edge over the others here. I've yet to hear the Mara Vocal Mix, but without it this is a good range of mixes, although i'm not convinced that the orignal bunch of mixes from 1997 have been bettered.
